Antique Wooden Golf Club - Item # 0136
This item is in very good condition. It is a unique and useful item. A great addition to a collection, or just as a decorative piece.
NOTES: Length is 36 inches. The cloth like wrapping is coming loose but is still intact and has little wear. The silver cap is oxidized. The wooden shaft is tapered from both ends. There are no cracks, nicks, or splitting. The finish is thin and worn on most of the piece.
The metal head appears to be steel and was possibly chromed. It is almost entirely covered in rust, most of it just at the surface, but one spot is thicker (at the very bottom of the head). The head is approximately 1 1/2 inches by 3 inches and about 1/2 inch thick.
There are no markings to be found on this piece, unless they are under the rust on the head. I did not do anything to clean up this item. It appears as I found it - with it's original dust still in place.
This is a fine antique club for the collector or a treasured gift for your golfer.
