The users guide is written for the novice but still includes a wealth of information about this modem, and modems and communications in general. This modem provides easy installation. Your speed when surfing the net may be slow compared to a 56k or faster modem. But if your intent is more along the lines of using theInternet strictly for e-mail and sending messages, the decrease shouldn't be a factor. This modem will work great. If you only want to send and receive Faxes, this modem does so as reliably as a 56k modem.

The box (14 inches by 7 inches by 4 inches ) is factory shrink wrapped with the factory tag attached. UPC: 0-47088-01177-1. The Hayes Product Number is: 08-01177. The software is on 3 1/2 inch media. It's weight is approximately 5 pounds. It will operate on 110 Volt 60 Cycle AC power. There is some slight damage to the package that can be seen in the photographs. This in no way has damaged the modem. I will refund or replace any modem that fails to operate if notified within 15 days after shipping.
