It is made of high quality materials and designed to be easy to set up and use. This is a ISA modem that delivers Hayes reliability for the fastest Data + FAX. You don't have to do anything to take advantage of OPTIMA's great features since it automatically selects the best features including the highest speed whenever you use it. It's perfect for use with your PC at the office or home. And it meets the same high standards as all legendary Smartmodem products. You wont have to bother with finding cables or software - everything you need comes included with this modem. The installation guide is easy to follow and informative. The users guide is written for the novice but still includes a wealth of information about this modem, and modems and communications in general. This modem provides easy installation in just about any computer. If you have a computer with ISA Bus slots, this modem will work great. If you lack a pentium processor, this modem will still function at it's peak. (Most modems sold today require a Pentium processor). Your speed when surfing the net may be slow compared to a 56k or faster modem. But if your intent is more along the lines of using the Web strictly for e-mail and sending messages, the decrease shouldn't be a factor. This modem will work great. If you only want to send and receive Faxes, this modem does so as reliably as a 56k modem.
