Rare Emerson 12 Inch Four Blade Oscillating Fan - WORKS - Item # 0045
This is an exceptional find. This rugged indoor fan can really cool you off. It's also a conversation piece. The base is made of cast iron and houses the original porceline and brass contact three speed power switch. The switch works fine and the motor works in all speeds. The oscillating action also works and is adjustable thru it's entire range. There is a nice brass wing nut to adjust the fans angle. The cord is not the original cord but it works and is also in good shape. This is an extremely heavy duty fixture - and IT WORKS. Some rust has begun on the base but the upper portion is in very good condition. It is covered in oil and dirt thus protecting the black original finish. The fan blades and fan guard are made of metal. The fan blades (four ) are in great shape and not bent or chewed up. The fan guard is also in very good shape. Everything is alittle scuffed up but this great fan works perfectly. No attempt has been made to pretty up this item. Outside it has some dust and rust on it. The base is rusty and the motor is oily, but otherwise, no significant scrathes, oxidation, or weathering on this item. The motor runs smoothly, as well as the reciprocating action, and there is no imbalance to the blades. The base measures aproximately 8 inches in diameter. The entire fan measures 18 inches high by 13 1/2 inches accross and 8 inches deep. The weight is 20 pounds. Postage may exceed $20.00 - please consider this charge when bidding.

This is truly a very great and unusual piece, quite a rarity, (Model 29646) and in working condition. This would be an excellent way to cool down your place and add some rustic appeal to your furnishings. The big black motor really shows this piece off as an ancient relic of the past.
