Cutty Sark Globe - Item # 0016
This is an unusual find. Made entirity of
metal. The frame and other metal pieces are
made of bright brass that shines like new.
The base is another typr of metal and painted
a rich black with the Cutty Sark trademark
proudly displayed. The printing on this piece
is in excellent shape. The globe is covered
with printing that shows a world as envisioned
many centuries ago. The horizontal ring (6
inches in diameter) is beautifully marked
with the signs of the Zodiac and numbered
graduations. The verticle ring is printed
with named zones and numbered graduations.
This is truly a very nice piece, somewhat
rare, and in beautiful condition. The base
measures approximately 4 1/2 inches square
and it's total heighth is about 7 inches.
